Snow Buddies movie follows the story of Buddy and Molly’s offspring in Washington. After saying goodbye to their owners one morning, the puppies decide to play hide-and-seek when Budderball finds an ice-cream truck. Rosebud spots the hapless canine and follows him in an attempt to help. Hilarity ensues when Buddha finds them both in the truck and B-Dog and Mud-Bud end up in the truck which is shipping to outside the town of Ferntiuktuk, Alaska.In Alaska, the Buddies meet Shasta, a young husky whose owner wants nothing more than to mush. The puppies take a vote to help a grateful Shasta to pursue his dreams. Unfortunately, as Shasta has no parents, this puts the puppies in a predicament as there is nobody to teach them how to become snow dogs and the local population of older puppies sneers at the thought of them learning how. Luckily, they find Talon, his father’s mentor, in the mountains. Although initially reluctant, Shasta manages to persuade Talon into teaching the over-zealous puppies into becoming his new protégés by reminding him that “It’s not the size of the dog that counts but the heart of team”.

Eight Below In 1993, Jerry Shepard (Paul Walker) is a guide at an Antarctica  research base under contract with the National Science Foundation. UCLA professor, Dr. Davis McClaren (Bruce Greenwood) arrives at the base and presses Shepard to take him to Mount Melbourne to attempt to find a rare meteorite  from the planet Mercury. Shepard does so against his own intuition, which tells him that it is too late in the season (January) to complete such a treacherous route. Worried about the snowmobiles breaking through the thinning ice or falling in a crevasse, Shepard tells his boss and McClaren that the only way to get to Mount Melbourne is by dog sled.Shepard and McClaren make it to Mount Melbourne but are immediately called back to base camp due to an approaching storm. McClaren begs for some time, and Shepard gives him half a day. McClaren finds what he was looking for and the two head back to the sled.

Iron Will Will Stoneman, a seventeen year old farmer, often mushes into town for deliveries. On one journey, Will’s father, Jack, hits a patch of thin ice and falls into the strong river below, and almost pulls his dogs in with him. When Will, in an attempt to pull his father out, gets caught in the rope, Jack cuts it, allowing the dogs to escape, and pull Will away. Unfortunately, Jack’s action causes his own death. At first Will blames Gus, the lead dog, for his death, but later blames himself. After this, Will must provide for his family. In order to save his family from financial ruin, Will decides to enter a dog sled race. His mother wants Will to use part of the prospective $10,000 race winnings for college, but Will just wants to save the farm. With the aid of Indian handyman Ned Dodd, Will begins to train for the race.

Snow Dogs Theodore “Ted” Brooks (Cuba Gooding Jr.) is a dentist in Miami, Florida. His picture appears on city buses, in ads promoting his dental practice. When he receives a letter from Alaska one day naming him as the only heir of a Lucy Watkins, his mother reveals that he is adopted. Brooks travels to the village of Tolketna, Alaska, to claim his inheritance left by his late birth mother – seven Siberian Huskies and a Border Collie – and discovers his roots. Totally out of his element, he has to face challenges he has never dreamed of: blizzards, thin ice, an intimidating, crusty old mountain man called Thunder Jack (played by James Coburn in one of his final roles), and the aggressive, defiant lead dog, Demon. All of this happens with the buzzing excitement of the Arctic Challenge Sled Dog Race which is only two weeks away.During his stay in Tolketna, Brooks tries to find the reason he was given up for adoption, including any information about his father. Ted meets a barmaid named Barb who was a friend of his late birth mother Lucy. She helps Ted deal with the dogs and teaches him how to drive a sled, and falls in love with him during the course of the movie. Ted continues to encounter Thunder Jack, who wants all of his late mother’s sled dogs, especially Demon. (Lucy was once a winner of the Arctic Challenge.)
