Top 10 Zombie Movies

For some people Zombie Movies are just creepy, for some, these are awesome. I am somewhere in the middle. But i hope that you are in a group of fans, and that you are going to like this one. Also, let me know if you like to. So, check it out

10. Fido

Fido Wallpaper
Fido Wallpaper

The film takes place in a 1950s-esque alternate universe where radiation from space has turned the dead into zombies. This radiation still plagues humanity, as all those who die after the original contamination turn into the undead. In order to continue living normal lives, communities are fenced with the help of a governing corporation named Zomcon. Zomcon provides collars with accompanying remote controls to control the zombies’ hunger for flesh so as to use them as slaves or servants.
In the town of Willard, whose name is a reference to the town in the original 1968 Night of the Living Dead, housewife Helen Robinson buys a zombie in spite of her husband Bill’s zombie phobia. Their son, Timmy, befriends the zombie, naming him “Fido”. One day Fido’s collar malfunctions and he kills their next door neighbor, who turns into a zombie. Timmy “kills” the zombified neighbor.

9.  Planet terror

In a rural town in Texas, go-go dancer ‘Cherry Darling’ (Rose McGowan) decides to quit her low-paying job and find another use for her numerous ‘useless’ talents. She runs into her mysterious ex-boyfriend ‘El Wray’ (Freddy Rodriguez) at the Bone Shack, a BBQ restaurant owned by JT Hague (Jeff Fahey) and his sheriff brother (Michael Biehn). Meanwhile, a group of military officials at a nearby US military base, led by the demented Lt. Muldoon (Bruce Willis), are making a business transaction with a scientist named Abby (Naveen Andrews) for mass quantities of a deadly biochemical agent known as DC2 (codename “Project Terror”). When Muldoon learns that Abby has an extra supply on hand, he attempts to take Abby hostage, and Abby intentionally releases the gas into the air. The gas reaches the town and turns most of its residents into deformed bloodthirsty psychopaths, mockingly referred to as “sickos” by the surviving humans. The infected townspeople are treated by the sinister Dr. William Block (Josh Brolin) and his possibly abused, unfaithful bi anesthesiologist wife Dakota (Marley Shelton) at a local hospital.

8. Night of the living dead 1968

Siblings Barbra (Judith O’Dea) and Johnny (Russell Streiner) drive to a rural Pennsylvania cemetery to place a cross with flowers on their father’s grave. Johnny teases his sister, who is afraid of cemeteries, taunting, “They’re coming to get you, Barbra!” A hideous looking zombie (S. William Hinzman) suddenly grabs Barbra and Johnny rushes to save her. A gruesome fight is the result, but Johnny is killed when he falls and  his head into a tombstone. Barbra flees into the car, but the zombie chases her. Barbra attempts to flee in the car as the zombie attempts to break in, but she doesn’t have the key. She releases the emergency brake, and the car rolls away from the zombie. Barbra soon crashes into a tree, still chased by the zombie. She abandons the car and escapes into a nearby farmhouse to hide, still chased by the zombie. She soon finds, however, that others like the man are outside. While exploring the empty house, Barbra discovers a hideously mutilated corpse at the top of the stairs.8.night of the living dead 1968

7. Dawn of the dead 1978

Dawn of the dead 1978 Wallpaper
Dawn of the dead 1978 Wallpaper

Following the scenario set up in Night of the Living Dead, the film depicts the United States of America (and possibly the entire world) struck by a plague which reanimates recently deceased human beings whose new primary goal is to feast on the flesh of the living. The cause of this plague remains adamantly unexplained. Despite desperate efforts by the US Government and local civil authorities to control the situation, society has effectively collapsed and the remaining survivors seek refuge. Although several scenes show rural citizens and military fighting the zombies effectively, cities, with their high populations and close quarters, are essentially deathtraps. The chaos is eventually implied to have spread throughout the country, evident by infrequent television and radio broadcasts.

6. Braindead

The first scene of the movie sets up the danger of the Sumatran Rat-Monkey, a hybrid that (according to legend) resulted from the r*** of tree monkeys on Skull Island by plague rats: Stewart (Bill Ralston), an explorer returning from the depths of the island with a rat-monkey in a cage, is stopped by his native guides. Seeing the mark of the monkey’s bite on his right hand, they immediately hold down the infected explorer and amputate the appendage. A bite mark is then seen on his left arm, which swiftly results in the removal of that limb. Finally, they see a set of bloody scratches on Stewart’s forehead and kill him. The title screen follows the man’s dying scream, and as the opening credits roll the captured rat-monkey is shipped to Wellington Zoo in New Zealand.

5. Dawn of the dead

Ana (Polley), a nurse, finishes a long shift at her Milwaukee hospital, then returns to her peaceful suburban home and waiting husband Luis. The two jump in the shower and miss emergency television broadcasts about a mysterious epidemic. The next morning their neighbor’s zombified daughter enters their bedroom and kills Luis, who immediately reanimates as a zombie and attacks Ana, who barely escapes. Ana flees in her car, but crashes into a tree after a bus driver attempts to hijack her car. Accompanying the opening credits is a bleak news-video montage depicting swarms of zombies overwhelming human civilization.
Upon waking, Ana meets Kenneth Hall (Rhames), a police sergeant. They and three others–jack-of-all-trades Michael (Weber), petty criminal Andre (Phifer) and his pregnant Russian wife Luda (Korobkina)–break into the nearby Crossroads Shopping Mall. Inside, a zombified mall security guard attacks the group and just barely bites Luda.

4. Resident evil series

The film begins in The Hive, a top-secret genetic research facility owned by the Umbrella Corporation located deep beneath Raccoon City. A technician loads vials of blue and green liquid into a secured case, then tosses one blue vial onto the floor inside a lab, exits and seals the room. The vial breaks and the facility’s security system, the Red Queen, detects possible infection, and in response, seals the Hive and kills everyone inside.
Elsewhere, a woman known only as “Alice” (Milla Jovovich) (though she is not named onscreen) awakens in an empty mansion with amnesia. She finds a picture showing that she is married; other clues, like concealed automatic weapons, suggest she is not a simple housewife. After she steps outside the mansion door, a man yanks her back inside; the two are immediately seized by a group of commandos. The man, Matthew “Matt” Addison, identifies himself as a police officer, but the commandos handcuff him regardless.

Late one night, British animal rights activists break into the Cambridge Primate Research Facility to free chimpanzees being used for medical research. The local scientist warns the activists that the chimps are infected with something he only calls “Rage”, but the activists disregard him and set a chimp free. It immediately attacks and infects the activists and scientist.Twenty-eight days later, a bicycle courier named Jim awakens from a coma in the deserted St Thomas’ Hospital. As he leaves the hospital, he discovers London is completely deserted and rife with signs of catastrophe. Jim is soon discovered and chased through the streets by infected people before being rescued by two survivors, Selena and Mark, who rush him to their hideout at the Canary Wharf Station in the London Underground. They reveal that while Jim was comatose, the virus spread uncontrollably among the populace, turning most people into mindless, vicious killers (“the Infected”) and resulting in societal collapse, possibly worldwide. Also, i highly recommend 28 Month Later.

2. Shaun of the dead

Shaun of the Dead Wallpaper

Shaun (Simon Pegg) is an appliance salesman whose life is without direction; his girlfriend Liz (Kate Ashfield) is dissatisfied with their social life, primarily because it consists of spending nearly every evening in The Winchester, Shaun’s favorite pub. He has issues with his stepfather Phillip (Bill Nighy), his increasingly unhappy housemate Pete (Peter Serafinowicz), and a dissatisfying job where his younger co-workers show him no respect. His best friend Ed (Nick Frost) is the third housemate, and Pete demands Shaun evict Ed, because of his laziness. In September 2012, U.S. Army virologist, Lieutenant Colonel Robert Neville (Will Smith) is left as the last healthy human in New York City. Three years earlier Doctor Alice Krippin (Emma Thompson) altered the measles virus to create a cure for cancer with a 100% success rate. However, the virus mutated into a lethal airborne strain that spread worldwide and killed 5.4 billion people (90% of humanity). Of the 600 million survivors, only 12 million people possessed a natural immunity to the virus. The rest degenerated into bald, pale, aggressive beings referred to as “Darkseekers”, who killed the remaining immune human population. The “Darkseekers”, so called for hiding in buildings and dark places during the day due to a painful intolerance to UV radiation, exhibit increased speed, agility, aggression, and strength, as well as higher pulse, metabolism and respiration rates, and increased body temperature. Despite their primal behavior, the Darkseekers seem to retain some basic problem-solving intelligence, animalistic cunning and the capacity to organize themselves.

Wall E

Wall-E-wallpaper

Throughout the 21st century, Earth was governed by the Buy n Large megacorporation (BnL), causing mass consumerism and covering the planet in trash by 2105. In an attempt to resolve the situation, Earth’s population was evacuated on fully automated luxury BnL starliners for five years while an army of trash compactor robots called WALL-E’s were left behind to clean up the planet. The plan largely failed, however, forcing humanity to remain in space indefinitely. Seven hundred years later, in 2805, only one WALL-E unit functions, having survived by salvaging parts for himself from other defunct WALL-E units. This unit has developed sentience and a sense of emotion, particularly curiosity, as shown by his quirky habits of collecting knickknacks from the mountains of trash.

Ratatouille

Remy is a rat who lives in the attic of a French country home with his brother Emile and a pack led by his father Django. Gifted with a keen sense of smell and taste, Remy aspires to be a gourmet chef, inspired by France’s recently deceased top chef, Auguste Gusteau, but instead his talent is put to work in sniffing for rat poison. When the pack is discovered by the home’s occupant, they flee into the sewers; Remy becomes separated from the others and ends up marooned underneath Gusteau’s restaurant in Paris, conversing with a hallucination of the famous chef.

Cars

Cars is set in a world populated by anthropomorphic vehicles, including cars (hence the name “Cars”), trucks, trains, and airplanes.

The last race of the Piston Cup stock car racing season ends in a three-way dead heat between retiring veteran Strip “The King” Weathers, perennial runner-up and dirty fighter Chick Hicks, and the self-centered rookie Lightning McQueen. A tiebreaker race is scheduled for one week later at the Los Angeles International Speedway. Lightning is desperate to win the race, as it would allow him to leave the sponsorship of Rust-Eze, a rust treatment for old cars, and allow him to become the sponsored car of the lucrative Dinoco team in The King’s place. Eager to start practice in California as soon as possible, Lightning pushes his big rig, Mack, to travel all night long.

Incredibles

Mr. and Mrs. Parr, also known as Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl, gave up their crime fighting careers as superheros to raise a family under the long arm of the government protection program. Life as an every day citizen was great for Mrs. Parr, but Mr. Parr longed for his glory days as a superhero. When temptation gets the best of Mr. Incredible, can Elastigirl and the rest of the Incredible clan save him?

Finding Nemo

Marlin, a Ocellaris clownfish, takes extra care of his only child, Nemo, after his wife Coral and the rest of their eggs were eaten by a barracuda. Due to a crack in Nemo’s egg, he has grown up with one small, weak fin, but which Marlin assures him is his “lucky fin”. On the first day of school, the other kids tease Nemo about his overprotective widower father. Nemo decides to swim into the open waters to prove that he is capable but is quickly captured by a scuba diver, who climbs aboard a boat and drives off. Marlin is unable to keep up after a frantic chase but meets Dory, a regal tang with short-term memory loss. Together they discover a diver’s mask on the ocean floor dropped from the boat, and Dory is able to read the address on it as being Sydney, Australia. The two set off; Marlin’s story of determination quickly spreads about the oceans, and various sea creatures quickly give aid to his search.

Monsters

Almost all children imagine monsters under the bed or monsters hidden in the closet, and almost all parents console their children by saying monsters don’t exist. But what if they do? …and what if the monsters are actually scared of children? Meet the residents of Monstropolis and see the warm and fuzzy side of those marvelous monsters.

Toy Story 2

Woody prepares to go to summer camp with Andy for the weekend, but Andy rips his arm by accident while playing with his toys before leaving, forcing him to be placed on a shelf and stay behind. There he discovers that Andy’s mother is having a yard sale, to where she takes a fellow shelved toy, Wheezy, an old rubber penguin with a broken squeaker, to be sold. Woody sneaks down to the yard sale with the help of Andy’s pet dog Buster and saves Wheezy, but is accidentally left outside and found by an enthusiastic toy collector, who ends up stealing him when Andy’s mother refuses to sell him. Buzz chases after the collector’s car as he drives away, but quickly loses him. During an investigation back at Andy’s room, Buzz and the other toys quickly determine that the thief is Al McWhiggin, owner of the toy company Al’s Toy Barn. Their leader, Hopper, gives the ants the rest of the season to make good on what they owe, but orders a double ration of food after Flik stands up to him in defense of the Queen’s youngest daughter Dot. Flik is admonished by the colony’s royal council. When Flik suggests that he try to recruit some “warrior bugs” to fight the grasshoppers, Princess Atta (Dot’s older sister and the eventual successor to the Queen) allows him to do so, but only to keep him out of the way.

Toy Story

Woody the toy cowboy has enjoyed life as the object of young Andy’s affection. He’s taken great pride in being the one toy Andy would choose to play with above all the others.
