I’m not sure about the numbers of participants in recent years, but when I was there in years 2001 and 2006 it was somewhere around 1 million. I missed Holi (aka Festival of Colors) with about a month, when I was in India last winter. And I’m sure La Tomatina is lots of fun and they say that Burning Man is a life changing experience. I hadn’t heard about Bay to Breakers before. Love Parade would probably also fit in this list.
